The claw hammer can be used for knocking, hammering, and pulling nails, but the claw hammer should not be used for hammering larger workpieces. When nailing nails, the hammer head should strike the nail cap flat, so that the nails enter the wood vertically. When pulling out the nails, a block of wood should be placed at the horn to enhance the pulling force. The horn hammer should not be used as a pry tool, and attention should be paid to hammering. The surface is flat and intact to prevent the nails from flying out or the hammer slipping off and hurting people.
The connection between the hammer head and the handle must be firm. If the hammer head and the hammer handle are loose, and the hammer handle has splits and cracks, it cannot be used. The wedge between the hammer head and the hammer handle in the installation hole is preferably a metal wedge, and the length of the wedge should not be greater than 2/3 of the depth of the installation hole.
